Travel Agents and Technology were, and are, the perfect combination for Lee Rosen, the founder and former president of TRAMS and the former general manager of Sabre leisure. TRAMS, a provider of back- and mid-office technology for travel agencies, was founded by Rosen in 1988, and was then acquired by Sabre in 2006. TRAMS started as a Back-Office system and over the years evolved to also include a CRM (client relationship management) component, quickly becoming the leading technology provider with several thousand travel agency users. Rosen, since starting Trams, also served as GM of Sabre Leisure Worldwide for two years, and has also since started Tres, a cloud-based technology company that is designed to provide the benefits of cloud technology as well as the ease of use that the travel advisor industry has been asking for. Tres CRM and Back Office systems are not a re-creation of TRAMS, but rather the creation of new systems designed for today’s advisor using today’s technology.
